Barbecue Championship

The BBQ competition is one of the main events of the weekend and the locals look forward to sampling the amazing, mouthwatering food that is produced during the event. One of the biggest advantages to this competition is that you are able to sell your BBQ to the public, much like another vendor that attends the Picnic. This helps competitor’s recoup some of their travel expenses incurred getting to, and competing in, the competition. Last year, there was approximately $20,000 worth of BBQ sold at the event.
